Thank you for visiting our website! We’re glad you’re interested in learning more about our congregation.
One of my guiding principles for pastoral leadership is “God is on a mission to love and bless the world and God uses people to do it.” I find great joy in helping people discover and use their gifts to serve Christ and community.
My leadership style is collaborative and seeks to equip people with what they need to do what God has called them to do. I preach from Biblical texts, with a strong focus on application to daily living.
I have served as the pastor of St. David’s Lutheran Church since 2007. I was ordained in Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) in 1996 and have served Lutheran congregations in these Pennsylvania Communities: Greencastle, Stewartstown, Landisville, and Hanover.
I have served the wider church as a member of the Region 8 (ELCA) Transformational Leadership Team, Lower Susquehanna Synod (ELCA) Evangelism Committee, founding member of Hempfield Area Food Pantry Board of Directors, Secretary of the Crossroad Ministerium, and Dean of the Hanover Conference of Lutheran Churches.
I hold a Master of Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, a Master of Arts degree in counseling from California State University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Concordia University, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
I am married to the Rev. Steven Thomas. We are the parents of a college-aged daughter.
My interests and hobbies include: biking, yoga, mindfulness practices, music, and cooking.
In the joy of Serving Christ and Community,
